As I have grown closer to the heart of the Father since entering college, I have felt His calling to live out Matthew 28:19, to “go and make disciples of all nations” and Isaiah 1:17, to “defend the oppressed; take up the cause of the fatherless; and plead the case of the widow” very strongly. Because of His leading me in this way, I am very excited to be serving one month this summer in the Philippines through Adventures in Missions (ADV) as a part their Semesters program!

 The Philippines has been struck time and time again by natural disasters such as typhoons and now volcanic eruption, leaving several provinces in ruins and many children helpless and without shelter. I will be working with a team to provide disaster relief, medical assistance, and care for orphans in Manila. My team’s goal will be to meet every need which we encounter, and to build relationships with all those we serve.

 I am beyond grateful for the opportunity I have been given to serve in this way. In order to accomplish this, however, I must raise $4,550. This total will cover my travel, lodging, and insurance expenses while I am on the field. While this amount is not due until May, I will have monthly financial deadlines to meet between now and then. If you would please ask the Lord how He may have you contribute financially to this endeavor, your generosity—in any amount—means more to me than you know, and is critical for my success. Please know that no amount is too small, and that I treasure every gift!

Above all, your prayers for my team’s safety, health, spiritual growth, and overall ability to complete what the Lord has called us to do this summer are invaluable!
